Thanks for the Memories

My dad painted this picture years ago.  He used to paint seascapes for my sister and Christmas pictures for me. He painted many pictures but never thought they were good enough to enter into competitions or to show publicly.
He passed away years ago but I still treasure his paintings.  They remind me of
wonderful childhood memories. I was blessed with wonderful parents. So I thought during this holiday season I would take it upon myself to show one of his paintings publicly.
Hope your childhood memories are as wonderful as mine.

That painting is beautiful! What a shame your Dad passed not realizing just how talented he was. That is a beautiful painting! He should have entered it in a contest.

My Dad was an Editorial Cartoonist, if you want to Google him his name was Ray Osrin...he won multiple awards but never fully knew how talented HE WAS. I think that is an inherent trait of artists.

My father passed in 2001 and I am lucky to have a number of his cartoons both on my walls and saved for special memories of the man whom I ADORED!

Have a great day and thanks for sharing!

What a wondeful painting. Your dad could have made these into prints or Chisrtmas cards. Thanks for sharing your memories.

Beautiful! Reminds me of the Lang folk art calendars my mom gives me every year!
