This may seem like an ordinary fly, but it is very important to me. Why you ask. Because his photo is the first sharp close up of an insect that I have ever been able to take.
I see beautiful pictures of butterflys , dragon flys and many others on various blogs, but I have never been able to achieve this feat until today. I was so excited that I decided to mark this special day by posting "Fred the Fly's " photo. Fred was a great model as you can see.

That is an amazing picture. You must have a great camera! His eye looks so neat, and you can even see the detail in his wings. I never thought I'd like a picture of a fly so much! :)
Fantastic shot! Can you teach me how to do that? :)
That is an outstand piece of photography. M says she doesn't know how you do it.
Well done, Cherie! I personally cannot abide flies, but this chap chose to off-set my inner loathing by perching on a beautiful red rose and so I'm able to tolerate his artistic presence...for now!
Congratulations !!!!
It's GREAT photo !!!
Many greetings
Great photo. Just right. I am announcing the appearance of our first roses yesterday, here in Penticton! Yeah
you did an amazing job, especially against the red flower....wonderful!
Fred is a... ur... very handsome fellow! :)
Great photo, four paws up to you, its hard to get the carmera to focus quick before insects fly off
